Women's Art Experiment

A "Salon des Refuses" inspired monthly meeting of talented women with the purpose of providing a supportive audience for visual and performance artists, poets, essayists, foodies, comedians, and musicians.

If you have a hidden talent that you would love to share, or dormant creative energy that needs to be unleashed, please consider joining us one Monday of every month. Whether you have a new painting to show, a poem to read or a song to sing, The Women's Art Experiment will provide you with an audience.

If you are a Woman who'd like to do more than reminisce about the art you "used to do" this group is for you!

Rules

*Women Only.

*Open minds encouraged.

*No discrimination based on age, race, or sexual orientation.

*No special treatment for more "accomplished" artists. No taking ourselves too seriously!

*Light and careful critique.

*No censorship for profanity/nudity, however if provocation is the artist's intent, she must accept what comes.

*No users/hard sellers. Though not opposed to helping each woman promote her art (see links page) , networking of only the most organic sort is permitted.

*Respect each other's religious space.

* All efforts are valid.

Goals

*Fun!

*To support and nurture creativity in all women.

*To expand the circle of friendship for each participant.

Expectations

As this is an experiment, only time will tell. Each participant is expected to bring something to the table.
